Social Media Marketing

Use Social Media to communicate effectively with your customers

How Social Media can work for you

Every business can benefit from Social Media in some way. It's likely that a specific mix will suit your business rather than you being active in every online community.

Using social media you will be able to establish yourself and become recognised as an expert in your specific market, and your company as a reputable business to work with.

LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter can all be great platforms for doing this.

Facebook

It's easy to get carried away with social media and Facebook is definitely one of the sites that isn't necessarily applicable to every business. If you're providing a product/service directly to the public, then yes, absolutely. However, some businesses won't benefit from being on the site.

Twitter

Everyone has an opinion about Twitter. Many clients ask us if it can really work for their business. Our resounding response is that yes, it can. All you need is something to say... and relatively regularly. You can't have a Twitter account and not 'tweet'. Once or twice a week can be enough, especially if you are referencing something else... eg. another article you've written or found.

LinkedIn

Every business person should have a profile on LinkedIn. Joining relevant business groups and getting involved in discussion can very quickly help generate new leads and/or business for you.

YouTube

Promoting your products and services through YouTube is a very effective way of reaching a huge audience that's often not embraced enough by businesses. We can help you produce a corporate video and then upload it to your own branded YouTube Channel.

Blogs and Forums

Blogging is the big brother of Facebook and Twitter. It's great for the search engines and is a very easy way of getting your views, ideas and tips out there. Quite often you would combine a blog with Facebook and Twitter, with the two latter sites linking to entries on your blog.

A forum can help your customers/clients communicate with you as well enable them to communicate with each other. This will provide a community feel to your business and that is likely to be very beneficial.
