The Stand-Up Club’s main aim at The Stand-Up Club is to help people have a great time in their spare time. Their flagship venue is at The Comedy Pub in the heart of London’s West End. Here they organise and promote club nights, and also play host to various private events such as corporate shows and charity gigs.
They work closely with sports clubs, school PTA’s, private members clubs, theatres, festivals and community centres to make sure not only do they have great line-ups for their comedy nights, but we also help them in setting up the best environment for live comedy.
The client was looking for a system where they could sell tickets, showcase events and share content. They also wanted a CMS so they can manage the content themselves. On top of this, they were looking to launch their name out there and take part in some digital marketing.
To tackle this project we offered The Stand-Up Club a complete package to get them started.
We did a bespoke design to make sure the site looked great and would make them stand out against their competitor. Once the design was complete we began the build the website, as part of their package we offered to build a few custom modules which would enable The Stand-Up Club more flexibility and more opportunities.
The Comedians Section
We built this so the client would be able to add a large variety of Comedians and create a profile for them. Here he could add videos / text / images / social links, this would allow them to promote the comedians performing and enable the audience to find out who they are. This module will also help with their SEO and get pages indexed in Google.
The second part of this module involved building an automated process where any shows comedian was involved in would also appear in their profile pages. This give the events more exposure and more opportunity to be seen.
A system like this one can get very complicated and tricky to manage. So to help the client on a day to day basis we built as many automated processes as possible. We added functionalities which allow the client to add events with ease and quickly. We made sure the events are showing in as many appropriate places as possible to keep the user engaged and aware of the upcoming events.
Analytics & AdWords
Once the system was up and running we got everything linked up to Google Analytics including all conversion tracking. All this data will help the client understand their users and how to make more sales through the website.
